ESBS European Sport Business School is the business school specialized in the sports industry. Born from the sports industry to serve it, enhance their professionalization and global sustainable growth , helping with them social and human development .
We work so that our students can face the current and future challenges of the sports industry with guarantees, transmitting in a practical way the knowledge of business science applied to sports management, as well as working the necessary skills for it.
ESBS is committed to training in the sports ecosystem with a practical and global approach to immersion in the industry, betting on innovation, employability and entrepreneurship.
Our academic offer is focused on covering the needs of the sports industry, both at the junior level, for recent graduates, and at the executive level, for people with experience and at the company level or for internal training for clubs, organizations, companies and sports entities.
We give the possibility of combining the direction of sports entities (directors or managers of the industry) and the practice of elite sport (elite athletes) with training, achieving greater professionalism in sports management and that at the end of their sports career, Athletes continue to be linked to the sports industry.
We put training, technology and experiences in sport and sports management within everyone's reach to facilitate the progress of people, sports organizations and society in general, in a sustainable and socially responsible manner.
Our challenge is to turn people's passion for sport into their profession.
“You learn to ride a bicycle by riding a bicycle. The laws of physics tells us that a
bicycle can't fall if we keep on moving.
We will only know how to ride it when we've ridden it.
We'll probably fall, but that's part of the process”.
The learning spirit in sports is the same as in riding a bicycle: perseverance, learning by doing, learning from our peers. That's our educational model.
We've developed a practical model, centered in the knowledge and skills required by the sports industry and aimed to employability and entrepreneurship:
Our challenge is to transform passion for sports into a profession.
The sports industry is growing by the day and we need to adapt to the speed in which changes happen. Each day it's more and more important to know how to manage in an area with a high level of media exposure.
During the last ten years we've adapted and improved our method, so as both sportspeople, sport directors and managers are able to access quality training with enough flexibility to balance their careers and their personal growth.
Our mixed methodology combines online learning –through our virtual campus and the monitoring of our tutors– with the possibility of attending on-site sessions at some point of the schoolyear. This method offers our students the flexibility they need to balance their professional lives and the quality training they need with their commutes and lack of time.
100% of our faculty comes from the sports industry.
Our programmes are coordinated by full-time ESBS teachers who combine their teaching duties with managing responsibilities within the sports industry, thus fulfilling our goals: practicality, proximity to the market's reality, employability and networking. We also count with the work of many speakers that will further the students' interaction with the sports ecosystem.

In ESBS we are deeply committed to our core values, goals and the social dimension of our labor, and so we've developed a social responsibility programme, were we strive for sustainability and encourage ethical and responsible practices.
Our programmes revolve around five main axes:
We believe in an ethical and socially conscious way of management.
Our goal is to train people to direct and manage companies and organizations in a global market while remaining committed to society and sustainability.
- In the classroom
Each of our post-grad programmes has a social responsibility line.
A specialized professional will give the guidelines to our teachers, students and cooperating companies, so that a social, ethical and sustainable approach will be used for their projects during the whole training.
- Social responsibility training for managers and coaches:
We've designed post-grad and ongoing training programmes that revolve specifically around efficient management and sustainable development.
Our goal while creating our training programmes for coaches is to always maintain our ethical and sustainable approach. The students will be able to understand the social implications of their training in a respectful and socially diverse environment.
We offer programmes centered around teaching sports to people with intellectual disabilities. We also promote training activities in different sports for intellectually disabled people, fostering inclusion and leisure, according to the tried and tested methodology of our educational partner, the Spanish Sports Federation for Disabled People (FEDDI)..
We believe that education can break down any barrier, and that's why we bestow scholarships onto many different groups.
All our post-grad, master's and ongoing formation programmes students are eligible for a scholarship, according that they meet certain requirements. Our goal is to make training available to people who normally wouldn't be able to get it.
We ourselves were born of entrepreneurial spirit and thus every year we offer our support to new sport projects and companies. Our academic community receives training, economic support via crowdfunding and pro bono consultancy for the creation of their projects.
Over 40% of our students come from developing countries, which encourages us to adapt our programmes to their resources and needs.
We're committed to affordable training, and so we use technology to allow people from all over the world to access our courses, anywhere, anytime, with only a basic internet connection.
Furthermore, through our free MOOOC programmes, we offer basic training in different areas. This programmes are still growing and we intend to forge more alliances with local organizations and institutions, offering contents translated to English and Chinese and exchange programmes.
We believe investigation is the axis of knowledge, innovation and creation.
Currently we conduct two expanding investigation lines. Our goal is to create socially responsible knowledge through our alliances with different universities and investigation centres.
ESBS was born as an innovative company with a strong belief in sport values and the educational uses of technology, always with a socially conscious approach and centered in reducing the waste produced by educational activities.
We've always shown environmental responsibility through acts and programmes.
All our programmes, especially those related to management, have a sustainability section that strives to educate about the importance of respecting the environment and natural resources.
We also offer specific post-grad and ongoing training programmes of environmental sustainability, sustainable sports managing, efficient managing of sport events and facilities, carbon footprints and more.
Our professionals have counseled many institutions, including Valencia CF and the Fundación, in a wide arrange of matters.
We encourage the social responsibility of our company, and our goal is to educate our cooperating companies, faculty and students in our ethical management commitment, so as to be able to develop responsible, socially conscious and sustainable projects.
